LOH MAI KAI( chicken sticky rice/glutinious rice)

Found this recipe from 'Ohbin Blogspot'.
I didn't follow exactly the same as Ohbin cz some of the information she gave in her blog wasn't that detail. So, i had altered some ingredients n steps to make this loh mai kai!

And because of i didn't follow the exact amount of the ingredients, so i had overpowered the sweetiness and saltiness. However it came out nice for my 1st time of making this!

How did i make it?

1 1/2 bowl of glutinious rice
4 mushrooms
about 500g chicken thigh chopped
1 chinese sausage
2 small shallot

To marinate the chicken
pepper
oyster sauce
soy sauce
dark soy sauce
sesame oil

Seasoning of rice
3 tbsp oyster sauce
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbps Chinese wine( shao xing wine)
4 tbps sugar
1/2 tsp salt
6 tbsp water
1 tbsp sesame oil
pepper
5 spice powder

1. Soak the rice overnight. Marinate the chicken n mushroom overnight.
2. Steam rice for 30-45 mins.
3. Cut the sausages into pieces. Stir fry sausages, shallot, mushroom and chicken.
4. Arrange them into small bowl and then the rice on top.
5. Steam for 30 to 45 mins.

Actually it is not that complicated as i thought.
Comment from my sis was, mb put more wine n pepper n less sugar n salt, cz sweetiness n saltiness had overpowered. And mb shallot no need to be added in the dish.

I will try again next time, hopefully i can get the bliss point soon!
